Flagami Inductor Cutover Project Completed Ahead of Schedule

W.A. Chester, a United Utility company, was awarded the Flagami Inductor Cutover project in Miami, FL, by Florida Power & Light and successfully completed the project ahead of the 2018 end-of-year deadline.

This underground utility installation project encompassed two new sections of stainless-steel conduits from an existing parallel circuit to a new inductor substation.  The new cutover cable system installation was engineered to feed a group of new inductors which will support an HV overhead circuit need for FPL.

Chester, successfully completed installation of 750’ of new stainless-steel pipe, 750’ of cable, 6 terminations, 2 bi-metallic splices and over 800’ of 2” oil line ahead of schedule for FPL.
